Value of Membership
- PPAR receives $300 of your total annual
dues, but the benefits you receive by being a member far exceed
this cost
- PPAR staff will
help you put the puzzle together by providing quality member service.
New members are provided an orientation program that familiarizes
you
with the benefits available and increases REALTOR®
professionalism
through risk reduction.
- Members have access to our REALTOR®
store to purchase forms, maps, lockboxes and other supplies.
- REALTORS® also receive publicity through
the
PR campaign efforts of the
local, state and national associations. The NAR PR
campaign is valued at over $4,500 annually, and consumer research
shows this is becoming a widely recognizable symbol of REALTOR®
honesty, integrity, commitment and professionalism with consumers.

Ethical Standards Are Enforced
- Every REALTOR® agrees to abide by the NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics and is
continually reminded of responsibilities under the Code.
- Ethical Standards are enforced and
disputes are resolved without litigation.

Public Policy/Regulations Are Favorable
To The Real Estate Industry
- Making sure your voice is heard is
one of the primary advantages of being a member of PPAR. From
lobbying to grassroots advocacy, the power of being part of almost
4,000 members works for you at the local, state and national levels.
- You are provided timely
information about local, state and federal issues.
- On your behalf, PPAR interacts with the Quality
Community Group (PPAR, EDC, HBA, Chamber of Commerce), Colorado Association of REALTORS®
(CAR), NAR, and the community to coordinate
strategic political issues.
- You are encouraged to have
interaction with elected officials and the political process and to
vote and participate in the caucus system.
- You can be part of a team that conducts candidate
interviews, is a part of the selection process, endorses candidates and recommends
funding.

participate on the Government Affairs Committee and strongly encouraged

contributions to the Political Survival Fund and REALTOR®
Small Donor Committee.

PPAR, through its
wholly-owned subsidiary Pikes Peak REALTOR® Services Corporation,
provides computerized tools so that Participants may better serve
their clients.

You may subscribe
to the PPMLS which contains over 5,000 available properties and
tools to match buyers with sellers.

Your subscription
to PPMLS includes access to historical files dating back to 1993, as
well as access to information from 15 county assessor databases.

A secure electronic
lock box system is available to help you track entry into listed
properties and obtain feedback from showings.

You may subscribe
to the commercial information exchange and broadcast email system.

As a means to
further advertise your listings, limited property information is
posted on a public Internet site (www.ppar.com) and other Internet sites.

You may provide
feedback through meetings, focus groups, and surveys conducted to
assess member needs.

- You are periodically surveyed electronically to help PPAR identify
