What is the GRI?
GRI stands for Graduate REALTOR® Institute.  The GRI designation is recognized throughout the nation as the standard for real estate professionalism and knowledge.  GRI programs provide sound training in the critical skills of the real estate business and provide education in current real estate topics and issues.  The GRI designation signifies a dedicated and knowledgeable agent.  Wearing the GRI pin, displaying the GRI certificate of completion, putting the logo on business cards and stationery and using "GRI" after the name are ways REALTORS® communicate their professional achievement.  The GRI designation is granted through state associations whose institute courses of study meet the standards established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Colorado's GRI ranks as one of the country's top institute programs.

Why earn the GRI?
*    The GRI increases your earning potential.  REALTORS with a National     designation earn over $42,000 more annually than those who do not have the designation!
*    The GRI courses teach you the latest farming, listing, financing and other techniques.

*    The GRI broadens your career horizons and expands your networking
*    State GRI courses introduce you to colleagues for referrals and networking
*    The GRI ranks you among the top performers
*    The GRI advances your professional image with the public and with other real estate agents

NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR GRI

PPAR offers the complete GRI program twice a year.  The second set of GRI courses will begin in October.   Gaining the designation has changed to benefit the student.  Beginning November 1st, 2009 - Students need to complete 15 required courses, plus one elective course for a total of 96 hours within 4 years.  You do not need to take the classes in any particular order, however, there are a few that will be easier for you to take in succession.  Those are the Agency and Disclosure before the Listing Contracts  and Listing Contracts before the Sales Contracts .  Those who wish to take courses to complete the designation quickly may finish in as little as three or four months, or you may take up to four (4) years to complete all classes once you begin.

All GRI courses are  six hours in length.  The Working With Success Series courses count as 6 hours toward the GRI, however,  only 4 hours credit toward license renewals.
all other GRI classes may be used for credits toward license renewal as elective credits

There are no prerequisites for the GRI nor is there a yearly fee for this designation!  The only other fee for the designation, besides tuition for classes, would be the GRI Application fee for an additional $75.00 - before you complete all classes.

REALTORS®  if you are ready to get the competitive edge, sign up to begin the GRI program today!

FYI - Classes toward the end of the year tend to fill up very quickly.  It is to your advantage to get your enrollment forms in early to avoid missing out on classes, especially if your license expires the end of the year!
