Colorado Real Estate Commission Education Requirements
The Colorado Real Estate Commission (CREC) Update Course is an annual requirement, even for newly licensed agents.  All agents (even new agents just getting licensed this year) must take the 4 hour class EVERY YEAR.  12 of the 24 hours needed to renew needs to be the CREC Update Course.   The Real Estate Commission will have the new yearly Update Courses ready for the taking in late January or February.  If you prefer to take the Update Course online, www.vaned.com will have the latest version.

Please note:  licenses expire on your anniversary date, not at the end of the expiration year.

If an agent has missed one of the three CREC Update Courses in his/her licensing period, the CREC requires them to take the 24 hour Broker Administration Course in lieu of the four hour course missed. Kaplan Real Estate College still offers this course in a classroom setting (719-473-0385) or it is available online at VanEd.com.  This 24 hour course is no longer offered at any of the associations in Colorado.
